What have mothers been saying about our service?

I first came to Sure Start when Eva was 2 weeks old.  I attended Sandy Lane Sure Start to get advice on breastfeeding, I had sore cracked nipples and thought that I must not have the attachment correct. I got great advice and tips I was informed about the breastfeeding group on a Thursday and have been coming since.  It’s great to socialise with other mums and hear their experience.  Advice from Avril is invaluable and the encouragement to continue breastfeeding in the early weeks when you’re tired and less motivated was so helpful.

Mum of Eva 13 Weeks

I came to breastfeeding group on the advice from midwife. I have found the support & advice from Avril invaluable. Max went though a stage at about 11 weeks of refusing to feed from me with Avril advice and tips I managed to get him feed again. The support of fellow “feeders” has also been extremely important as we can all have a moan about our babies! And also share their triumphs. Max and I have made lots of friends. Also the biscuits are an enormous draw and it means one day where I am not watching any daytime TV!!!
