The role of the Peer
Support Coordinators is:

To recruit, educate and supervise our Bosom Buddies volunteers
who are trained to support breastfeeding

To be responsible for
managing the Bosom
Buddies groups that take place across Warrington
currently being developed

To produce
Statistical
Information regarding the Bosom Buddy volunteers and how they are
making a difference to Breastfeeding rates
-
To offer update
training, support and information to the Volunteers
The Peer Support
Coordinators
are:
Jayne
Bamber

Jayne Bamber
is a Registered General Nurse and Midwife. She completed her General
Training in 1991 and after qualifying, practised for eighteen months
before going on to complete her midwifery training. She has worked in
the community as a General Nurse and in Warrington Hospital since 1996
as a Midwife, and has always enjoyed all aspects of her role.
In particular Jayne enjoys meeting new mothers and their partners and
helping them through all aspects of pregnancy and childbirth and post
natal care. She has a keen interest in education, imparting and sharing
information with women and their families, on various topics including
breastfeeding for which Jayne has always had an interest and
enthusiasm. Jayne is very pleased to undertake her new role as part
time Breastfeeding Peer Support Coordinator in Warrington from 2011.

Sarah Tandy

Sarah Tandy
is a Registered Midwife, who completed her training in 1999 and after
qualifying consolidated her training on labour ward at Aintree
University Hospital.
Sarah moved
to Warrington and Halton Hospitals in 2004 following the birth if her
first daughter. Team midwifery has always been rewarding for Sarah,
being able to provide care for women and their family throughout the
entire pregnancy. In particular she has a passion for supporting,
educating and encouraging mothers to breastfeed and is very please to
now undertake the role of Breastfeeding Peer Support Coordinator.
